Fraser Island, trains and exciting news!

As always we have been busy busy and not got round to any blog posts! But we will try again!

At the end of August, Martin (my brother) came to visit so we went for our annual 4wdriving and camping trip. This year was Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world which is about 2 hours north of us.

It was a great trip full of adventure, one of them being a paralysis tick embedded in the back of Bradley's head and having to find an emergency doctor on a sunday morning! After a lot of panicking and waiting the tick was removed along with some clumps of Bradley's hair. There was a lot of tears but soon made a recovery. Others adventures included getting stuck more than we would like, the worst being in the soft sand in the dark with an incoming tide. Needless to say with Neil's determination, digging his way out, letting a lot of air out of the tyres and making the rest of us walk to lighten the load, we escaped the soft sand and made it safely back to camp! Also on a sunrise shoot at Indian head, things turned out to be a bit scary as sunrise is not only for photographers but for packs of dingoes too! Young children and dingoes are not a good mix, as there has been a rise in attacks and one death over recent years. Needless to say we stuck together and bradley stayed in Uncle Martins arms and the dingoes left us alone, phew!

Here are some photos of the trip.

Another good day out was on 'The Valley Rattler' a steam train which runs twice a week from a town about an hour north of here (Gympie). Bradley loves trains aswell as diggers, trucks, tractors- you name it!

Of course, we had to go out for dinner. So Bradley got on his gladrags and headed for the RSL. Bradley loves going out to restaurants especially as he got a childrens meal which involved ice cream with m&m's his first experience of sweets! It didn't take long for the e numbers to take effect!

The last family bbq before Martin headed back to the UK.

We head down to one of the local parks usually once a week as it's a off leash park for Neddy. Also once a month some enthusiasts run a miniature steam train for the public to ride on. We actually remembered in September the right day!

One final photo just to show you that Bradley Paskin is very much his fathers son when it comes to breakfast at the weekend! 10 mins later Bradley's plate was completely empty!

The exciting news is that we are expecting the pitter patter of some more tiny feet. Our new bundle of joy is due on the 17th April. In the next couple of weeks we shall be finding out if Bradley is getting a brother or a sister! Will keep you posted!

Long time no post!

Well after another failed start to get the blog going, we're going to try again!!!

Thought you all would enjoy seeing some up to date photos of Bradley and the new member of our family a big labrador called Neddy. He is 4 years old and very handsome. We got him from the local refuge 3 weeks ago, he is very sweet placid dog most of the time apart from when he encounters another dog then he's nuts!

Bradley with his new tractor.

Our new addition, Neddy.

Bradley's favourite place is the back garden with his watering cans.

On Saturday we met our friends, Al and Claire, at the local beach to walk Neddy as Al fancied himself as a dog tamer! Neddy wasn't too bad so it was a very nice walk. As it was high tide, you had to keep you eye on the waves!

Life is pretty much normal all work! We're still doing the art and craft markets twice a week. Neil had a double spread about him and his photography in the local paper, if you go to www.thedaily.com.au and search Neil Paskin you can read it but unfortunately you can't see the large photo of Neil they printed but it will be on our official website soon.

update

I thought I would do an up to date post as it still seems like a mammoth task to go through all the other photos to catch up!

We'll start with easter weekend, it mainly revolved around taking some mew pictures, as it had been months since Neil took any serious photos.
When we do our Sunday market at Caloundra, people always ask for photos of 2 nearby beaches called Kings Beach and Moffat Beach, so we did a sunset and a sunrise.

Kings beach sunset

Moffat Head sunrise

We have since sold these images numerous times, so definitely worth the event!

Another sunrise this weekend was at Coolum followed my a mcdonalds breakfast on the beach! We had a fancy breakfast out at Mooloolaba the day before so it was the budget option!

The coolum shots Neil got that morning.

Bradley and I played on the beach. Yes, Bradley is still in his pyjamas!!!

Easter wouldn't be complete without chocolate! Bradley think easter is cool!

A few weeks later we had another long weekend as it was ANZAC day on the Friday, we headed out for a picnic at a lake called Baroon Pocket Dam, we hadn't been to this particular picnic place before. We had a lovely time even though Bradley spent more time walking over the picnic rug, sticking his fingers in the lamingtons(very aussie) and trying to grab the coffee than running around!

Our cutie

I love the backpack(not my most flattering shot!)

We had another long weekend the week after with labour day meaning a bank holiday Monday. Bradley wasn't 100% but seemed keen to go out so we just headed down the road to see the animals at the Big Pineapple. We went to the farmyard first, Bradley wasn't too impressed with the very loud donkey and cockerel making their noises but enjoyed looking at the animals.

Through the rainforest you get to the native animal nursery, Bradley is a kangaroo fan. He wasn't shy with them at all. Marching straight up to them and patting them! His Mummy was more nervous especially when Bradley was eyeing up pulling it's tail. But no injuries for Bradley or the kangaroos!

A couple more of the day.

I need a hair cut!

Bradley is coming on leaps and bounds and is definitely a toddler now! He loves walking especially around the shops when Mummy lets him, he is normally very happy all the time and enjoys getting into mischief! He's had several sleep-overs at Grandma and Grandpa's and loved them. He has little wellies there and likes to do inspections of there large garden and help grandpa water all the plants and himself!
