As Neil is on his holidays we decided to explore some more of the local area. We headed to a scenic forest drive along the Blackall Range, which overlooks the Sunshine Coast. The great thing about having Tanky is that we don't have to think twice about exploring all the unsealed roads and gravel tracks.
Mapleton Forest Drive
The next stop was Kondalilla Falls National Park, for a picnic but unfortunately the walk to actually view the falls was closed so we did a walk to the pool at the top, Cath is finding these walks harder as the weeks go by.
The picnic area was lovely, as Cath busies herself eating for 2!
In true Paskin day trip tradition it was the coffee and cake stop, today we had it at Montville and shared a delicious piece of tiramisu cake, yum!
The beautiful view back towards Nambour and sunshine coast.
Our route home involved a tour of roads near the Glass House Mountains looking for different views to photograph at low light.
This is a little stunner but needed some help from Tanky, so Neil could get a clear view over the hedge!
On the way home the final stop was at Ewan Maddock Dam for the last colours of the day, we will definitely sleep well after
today. Does Bradley know whats he's letting himself in for being the son of a photographer!!!
